Why Purity Storage Is Different
DM and RO water have one defining property: they are aggressive to many materials because their low ionic content drives them to dissolve ions from any surface they contact. Uncoated steel, concrete and even some plastics can contaminate stored high-purity water within hours. The tank lining is therefore a process-critical specification, not a generic component.
Our Approach to DM / RO Storage
- Food-grade inert liner system isolating the steel shell completely from stored water
- Metallocene contact layer prevents ionic and organic contamination of stored water
- Sealed top construction options to prevent CO2 ingress and re-mineralisation
- Tank vent and breather designs that maintain water purity during fill and draw cycles
- Inlet diffuser arrangements that minimise turbulence and air entrainment
Typical Industrial Users
- Power plants — boiler feed water and cooling tower make-up
- Pharmaceutical manufacturing — process water and equipment rinse
- Electronics and semiconductor manufacturing — ultra-pure water storage
- Food and beverage processing — ingredient water and CIP systems
- Chemical processing — reaction water and dilution streams
Why the Metallocene Liner Matters Here Too
The same Metallocene polyethylene contact layer that protects drinking water purity also protects DM and RO water. With no plasticisers to leach, no additives to migrate, and full inertness to the aggressive low-conductivity chemistry of demineralised water, the liner adds nothing to your stored water that wasn't already there. For industrial users who have invested in expensive purification, that protection is essential.
Capacity Range
Our DM and RO water tanks are available from 10 KL to 5,000 KL — covering laboratory and pilot-scale needs through to large industrial plant storage. The bolted construction means capacity can be expanded later as your process scales, without replacing the original tank.
